For those not familiar with the sports lingo of baseball, going to 'The Show' means playing in the majors. Specifically, when you've busted your ass for probably three or four years in several tiers of minor league ball and have finally reached the point where your ability has garnered enough attention which culminates in one life-changing phone call that sends you from using scuffed up baseballs during all aspects of the game to using shiny, white pearls with blood-red stitching for batting practice. When you get that call, you're on your way to 'The Show'.
For the past two years, I've been doing good work in x-ray and CT at this hospital:
Eight days ago, I got a phone call at 11am. It was from this hospital:
I interviewed yesterday and did very well. I am now in the waiting stage of finding out exactly how well I did. They did ask for and take copies of all of my national and state licensures, my healthcare provider cpr info, and my social security card. They did give me information on benefits provided to employees of this facility. They did give me a schedule as to when I could attend my orientation, should I be hired. They did not submit an offer to me...YET. They did say they would contact me within two weeks.
I'm waiting for my call to 'The Show'. In the meantime, I'm still quite glad I have a spot in the 'minors'. I'm also pooping my pants in anticipation.
Whoo Hoo! Where is the new hospital? It looks beautiful there :)
